Hola,
Senoritas Cosas!!!!! (Is that even correct?) It's MZ
Eternity returning with her pure music FLAVA for the
Chicago children. What's been makin' ya live in the
city of Cow? Let's see........Seb Fontaine let the
children have it Friday October 18th at Crobar. My
street crawlers say it was all that and the bag of
cheese doodles too. Jim Belanger & Erik Daley kicked
off their Saturday night fiesta at Domaine (1045 N.
Rush St.) on October 19th. Word is that it was
happenin', with a cute space both upstairs and down.
This year's Day of the Dead celebration at the Final
Steel Company (Southport/Clybourn) was far from
rigor mortis on November 2dn. With earlicks from DJ
Jeff Wells, it was aye tan cute, mammacita! DJ's
Freddie Bain and Jeremy gave us an old fashioned mid
80's style Battle of the DJ's on November 1st at
Circuit. I brought my copy of Betty Davis Eyes for
someone to play, but they just weren't having it! |

PUMPKINHEAD WRAP UP!: Friday –
James Anderson @ Circuit – Fun and giving us
some of his own remixes since he’s stepped into that
realm of Da Bizzness. Saturday – Ralphi Rosario @
Rouge…….SICKENING!!!!!! (did you expect anything
less than fabulous from Brinca?) Lighting wench Tony
Lage served up the visuals fiercely. Sunday@ Circus
– the change of venue didn’t change the fact that
people were LIVING for Robbie Leslie’s Tea Dance and
Mark Anthony’s closing party. Old skool queens may
remember Leslie from The Saint in NYC from the
80’s. He’s still got it after all these years.
Mark Anthony served up his unique style for the
Pumpkin gals with mucho happiness abound. Also made
it over to the MONSTER’S BALL around the corner at
Crobar. Tracey Young was slingin’ it DEEP and SEXY
style for the children of the night. So
that’s what’s happening in a nutshell. |

this great business. |
 |
|
What was your first gig ever? |
|
I was a short little shit, playing
disco at a wedding reception during
my brother's salsa band
intermissions/breaks. |
 |
|
How
would you describe your style? |
|
Extremely sexy, thick, erotic,
playful, and kinda dark in some
segments.
Lots of foreplay, with the climax
that never ends.... |
 |
|
What is one of your favorite labels? |
|
Currently, I don't have one, but If
I was to choose one it would be
JUNIOR recording out of London. |

As
you all know by now, Warner Brothers has released
the new Madonna Single “Die Another Day” with
remixes by Thunderpuss, Dirty Vegas, and Deepsky.
Faithless hands out “Crazy English Summer” on Cheeky
records. The ‘Brothers On High’ remixers toss this
salad for the sisters of the House music
persuasion. From the files of long awaited
and well worth it: “He Is” by Heather Headley
hits us this month on RCA records. For those not in
the know, Heather is the singer who found fame from
Broadway’s “AIDA”. Dice up by Widelife, Illicit
and MZ Junior Vasquez herself. Junior delivers a
powerful mix on top of what is already an awesome
song. A must have. Pat Hodges has an upcoming
release on Emerge records entitled “Love
Revolution”. Slap ‘n’ tickle provided by Rosabel
and Mark Picciotti. “Some Lovin” comes to us from
Miami Murk V.S. Kristine W. (label) These mixes are
typical Murk with some new spices added for
flavoring. I’m still waiting to hear what label is
picking up the new Martin Fry release entitled
“First Reunion”. Ralphi Rosario gives Fry’s tune ‘A
& B Side’ mixes that are FABULOSA. This issue’s

Blu Cantrell releases “Breathe” this week on
Arista records with a slice up by Andy & The Lamboy.
A & L ‘s remix is groovy, deep, and sexy with Blu’s
soulful vocals layered evenly over the mix.
Although progressive sounding, it’s a bit slow for a
dance mix (125bpm). Hot for a lounge or an early
set, it’s definitely not for peak hour. I
personally like these mixes, but those who like more
energy may want to pass on this one. |

Mimosa feat. Angie Giles “Say You’ll Be Mine”
is the new house release on Deep Touch records.
Tech House fans will live for the original mix. It
delivers a warm and smooth feel while maintaining
smart use of Gile’s hypnotic vocals. The Base mix
is R & B downtempo while the Dubby Mix is similar to
the vocal but gives us a snappier baseline while
maintaining a lounge feel. A delicious house blend
served warm! |

Just what the world needs…….ANOTHER MADONNA
RELEASE! The new James Bond theme “Die Another
Day” on Warner Brothers lets us have all the
mainstream appeal we can handle with the
Thunderpuss Club Mix. Cox & Harris keep it
simple with minimal dramatic sounds and synthesizers
that usually line their mix sandwich. A smoother
progressive feel in the Dirty Vegas mix breathes
even more life into an already fun release. There
are also Deepsky, Retroelectro and Dub mixes too. |
