Hi
Everyone! I had to cut this
issue's "scene" and "drama"
segments in order
to bring readers a whole BUNCH
of new reviews from both myself
and our guest
review gallery. I hope you
enjoy! I have a correction
also: I previously mentioned in
this column that Mike Macaluso's
"Lights Down" was a Star 69
release. It is in fact an En
Soul release. My
apologies, correction noted, and
onto reviews!

This is not a cover. The E-N
Metroliner mix is a trippy journey with an
underlining train sound coursing through it.
There are sparse vocals and a
constant techy buzzer sound that keeps the track
rolling along. You may remember the drum track
from Jaydee - Plastic Dreams. My fave mix has to
be the Friburn and Urik Tribal Mix. It is a very
tribally and energetic track that will keep you
grooving. -Keith Ware |

It's nice to see Yoko headed
back into the dance music scene. This is an
incredibly intelligent yet danceable track.
Peter Rauhofer delivers two mixes
with a dub and Orange factory gives us the same.
My favorite is the Orange Factory Pump mix; it
is tough and progressive. With a Daft punk vibe,
the
vocals are roboticized. The lyrics are pure Yoko
Ono avant-garde poetry. She maintains artistic
integrity in a genre to which many claim she
sold out. -Keith Ware |
